I adopted Maverick from my friend Jessie with Horse Kingdom Performance Horses. He was an owner surrender she had gotten in 2 days prior. He was completely emaciated, a terrible cribber, and in need of farrier work. Upon researching his microchip, we found out he had been adopted 5 years prior in just has bad condition. This poor guy had been tossed around and mistreated more than once. Being that he was an older guy, he does had arthritis, GI ulcers, and Cushing's Disease. We treated him for all his ailments and he was greatly loved.
Maverick was humanely euthanized due to infirmities of old age. He was surrounded by his family who showered him with hugs and kisses. Our lives will never be quite the same without our sweet boy.
